Need For Speed Undercover Review

After Need for Speed Most Wanted, Electronic Arts failed to produce a better version but Need for Speed Undercover is much better than its previous proStreet version in storyline, graphics and game play. Like all other Need for Speed racing games your journey begins from open wide streets with your car. In Need for Speed Undercover your mission is to take down a gang of street racers that have somehow involved in smuggling at international level. Story line begins as undercover cop in order to knock off some criminal street racers. After an initial race from the cops at the start of the game, you’re free to race around the city and explore the mission as undercover officer.

Storyline:

The story is different from all other previous versions and game play has much improved regarding to graphics as well as smoothness. In game you’re part of a federal team, consisting of you and agent Chase Linh, played by Maggie Q that needs to take down an international crime that deals in smuggling of stolen cars. Once you gain popularity in street racer community several underground smuggling communities start making contact with you in order to offer you jobs. As undercover cop your contact only remains with Chase Linh. As the game progresses, you are tasked with eliminating members of the criminal street racers group, so that they can be questioned by your partner, Chase Linh.

Gameplay:

Game play is 70% similar with Need for Speed Most Wanted. With the return of cops Need for Speed Undercover includes high-speed maneuvers and the “Heroic Driving”, more like an add-on. It includes pulling off stunts, dodging cops and 180-degree turns let you earn some points which increase your rank in-game rep. Race events are made up of a variety of race types, both new and old. The old ones include Circuit, Checkpoint, and Sprint (point-to-point), but unfortunately dragging and drifting is completely disappeared. Sounds of the car engines and the police sirens or the tracks you hear while you race, everything is quite good and ready to assault your speakers. In graphics car damage looks very real and also car graphics are really very stunning. Over all every user enjoy its game play.
